I began my formal music education at Bishop State College and the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile, Alabama where I majored in Music Theory and Composition. I performed in a host of bands and ensembles including the Bishop State Band, USA Jazz Band, USA Percussion Ensemble, and USA Symphonic Band. During this time, I also played with several live nightclub bands in Mobile, Alabama (Sound Power Express, Cosmic Funk, Men of Distinction) and later in Houston, Texas (Chill Factor, Pam Jamian & Sweet Jam, Bachelor, High Rise, Nightwynd, The Next Level Band).
My experience spans a wide range of genres including blues, country, funk, gospel, jazz, R&B, reggae, and rock. I am a versatile songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, specializing in drums, keyboards, rhythm guitar, and bass. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film; Master of Arts in Humanities; and Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction all from the University of Houston...Go Coogs!!!!!!!
